Lectors at St. Thomas Support Note Karacel

Each year, the lectors at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Naperville put on an event called Soup and Bread. It is part of their Lenten journey. The lectors bake wonderful breads and bring homemade soups. Parishioners are invited for an evening of prayer and to share this simple meal. A free-will offering is taken up, and donated to a different organization within St. Thomas ministries each year. This year, they broke tradition and selected Note Karacel to be the recipient. Trish and Jack shared a few words about the mission of Note Karacel and a brief audiovisual presentation was presented. We sold crosses, necklaces, t-shirts and purses at this event as well. The event brought in $1500 that will go towards well number five. It was a beautiful evening. We are so grateful to the lectors and parishioners of St. Thomas for their outpouring of generosity.
